Hardware & Devices Installing more than one SATA Drive problem...Solved!I read a few people having problems when trying to install multiple drives not being recognized, system hanging etc.. Like anything, can always be exceptions - but current testing and reporting indicates 6Gb/s is now good across both bays for all 2012 models. This is outrageous!

I tried rescan disks with no success. Changed... There is no extra partition required for the boot manager. I had the same problem.
- This is because the chipset (P45) can only handle 6 SATA ports, and no IDE.
- I checked my device manager and it has a yellow triangle and says power failure.
- This can be used as a workaround in case your CD/DVD ROM drive cannot boot , and for other things besides.

I currently have replaced the original drive with the OWC 240GB 6G SSD drive. The DVD won't work, not even a CD-ROM.I have to leave the DVD drive set to IDE for the drive to work.
