Cheers.. Thing is, I have an 8 core AMD FX 8350 @ 4.5ghz with 2 12cm fans on the heatsink; 32gb DDRIII Corsair RAM; x2 Gigabyte 7970's GPU'soverclocked; a Creative Sound Blaster If Win7 wake-up fires everything up at once that would put more demand on the power supply and might explain why the problem suddenly appeared. I've swapped SATA cables, ports on the motherboard, power connectors....

- You may be experiencing a motherboard issue (HD controller etc.) and not something with the drives themselves physically.
- It's amperage, and mostly for the 12v rail.
- Just this past Christmas I installed Windows 7 on a new Kingston 240gig SSD.

Find the missing Disk and add a Drive Letter, after this you will see your HDD in My Computer. It seems like perhaps the drive was not getting enough power and it would look like it was disconnected.
