This all seems quite odd to me. One of the unusual things is that the voltage is actually stepped *up* (to about 370v) first. But I have to wonder, is this safe? Difference Between 115v And 230v I have, however, seen fried motherboards when this happens with ultra-cheap PSUs.

As I was saying before, sending the 230v on 115v circuit would cause problems(not to mention the possibility of pain, fire, sparks, etc) because the 115v line parallels that voltage over Plugged back in and now won't power on at all and was working fine an hour ago. Step one: I unplugged everything but the power cord and took it to a new room and outlet, tried plugging it in, nothing. There are 254 circuits and devices on that motherboard.
Check cables, PSU switch, power on switch can break mechanically, too. Is there any advantage in stacking multiple images vs a single long exposure?
