Will PSU Cause Overheating
January 20, 2017, 04:34:21 PM Welcome, Guest. If it's bad on a voltmeter, you KNOW it's bad before you pull out the voltmeter!!! So there's no way I'm putting the old PS back in this system, I don't want to risk blowing the CPU. What could cause my PSU to blow up? I followed the instructions in the video and determined my power usage to 340W. Can anyone see any faults in this setup that might cause solved My PSU Exploded, What could be the cause? I have been having issues with my computer completely freezing or turning off with no notice.

That led me to believe that my video card was going out on me as it's a month shy of 3 years old. A voltmeter can NOT register sags/dips that can cause instability issues. When I got home today I swapped in the 750watt PS I have into the new PC and the problem was solved.
