I've upgraded my Radeon drivers several times without uninstalling the old one first and I've never had any problems. I am very happy with my video card now. I removed the fan and heatsink from the card and placed it into a PREHEATED oven set to 385F (solder melts around 364F). My recommendation is to check your temps before and after heavy 3D use (run a good 3D test like Mad Onion's "3DMark" for about 15 minutes). Thank you for helping us maintain CNET's great community.
