RAID 0 & Drive Letter Question

Regardless of the type of RAID set, I can't think of any way to do the conversion from non-RAID to RAID without imaging the existing partition(s), creating the RAID set, reformatting, When you plug it back in make sure to reset it's priority position as "first" since some systems will hang on other drives. have a peek here

I'm thinking RAID 0 because I want to keep using Nvidia SATA controller on my board otherwise I'd go RAID 5. As in each disk/partition having it's own name. JBOD simply "daisy chains" the drives together, stringing the disk space end-to-end and making it look like a single (larger) drive. But, if one of the two drives fails, your file system would become corrupt and your data on both drives would go away. Your cache administrator is webmaster. Ask a question and give support. The Raptor is split into 2 partitions - smaller one (about 17GB) has Windows XP and all OS related stuff on it, the larger one has games. I was thinking of just adding the second Raptor as drive by itself (in JBOD) but then I'll have 4 drive letters in Windows which is annoying. No.
