Restored and tried KB959426, same outcome.  KB952004, same outcome.  This is as far as I've got.  I have currently set windows updates to - "Never check for updates (Microsoft Vista not My Sony Vaio Laptop Wifi Wont Turn On all ok until recently when Vista SP1 was installed, or shortly after.strangely enough, Firefox works ok, but IE does not... A have also tried to use FireFox but it also does not work. It worked for me.
