Tried the solution here- remove battery and power, hold power button for 30 seconds, replace battery, turn on. You should add in "stick your finger in your ear for 10 seconds and say Sony backwards 5 times" just to make it even more voodoo and It'll still work. A while later the laptop began to get "fussy" about when it would charge, and would sometimes only charge if the cord was in a certain position. So that I make sure it does not happen again? I disassembled the laptop, and checked for continuity between the outer port and the connector which connects to the motherboard. Connect theAC adapterinto a known workingAC outletand to theDC jackon the notebook, and then attempt to turn on the computer normally.
