Laptop Screen Goes Black Randomly
You have to then hold down the power key until it turns off. When your monitor goes "almost completely dark", is it identical to the way it looks when it goes dark from sitting until the Energy Star thingie kicks in, or is it Asklaptopfreak has some info on this too - how to tell if the problem is the bios, the inverter or the backlight.
- I directly logoff by pressing power button.
- Does someone know how to fix this problem permanently?
- Is it worth taking it to get looked at or is it dumpster time!
- I know the computer works because I was using my tv as a monitor.

It seems a Toshiba issue but here is what happened: the pin that gets pushed in to say the laptop screen is shut got stuck and upon opening the laptop screen, How To Remove Toshiba Laptop Battery The system does run hot after prolonged use. Then, you have to hold it down to restart the laptop.
