May be you replaced the thermal grease but didn’t secure the heatsink the way it should be secured? If those are clear and you are comfortable opening the laptop you could try replacing the thermal paste on the CPU and see if that helps. Your laptop is not old and I think you can use the same thermal grease if you do not have a new one.
