Make sure your charger isn't loose, and than you're aren't surging too much power through the outlets-sometimes these can make the screen black too. Enter to the BIOS and change "advanced- system configuration -boot mode" to CSM. Okay, so here's the thing, my Toshiba Satellite A305 has been giving me a really hard time lately. Afterwards, just recovery your machine with the recovery media and copy after the recovery your personal/important data to your newly installed operating system. I managed to successfully image it by removing the hard drive, imaging off a workstation and putting it back. I really appreciate the help! Ask ! Toshiba Laptop Won't Power On The hard drive and optical drives wern't on this layer.
