Or have you any other USB device that lights up when plugged in that you could use to check? Such opinions may not be accurate and they are to be used at your own risk. If I plug an optical mouse into one of the USB ports the infrared light doesn't light up until after the second screen is displayed. Especially as it has the dedicated PS2 keyboard and mouse ports. so i assume removing he hub would also work. I'm not entirely convinced it's a PSU issue but you can never be completely certain something weird is not going on. Just what is it that is disabling the KB/Mouse until "Logon"?

We retried about 20 more times with Dell Windows XP service pack 2 iso file / image on CD and Dell OS Windows XP reinstallation DVD.
