I actually bought a laptop with Windows 10 to have the newest operating system & sent it back a week later as I just hated it. Thank you so much and lets be carefull out there! had to do fresh install windows several times but failed to update… your guide was excellent and most of all simple.. This log may be very large, if you have problems posting it try breaking it into smaller parts. Also while we were working on the first computer he attempted to fix my Hotmail/Outlook as it would not run in IE10, but would in another browser setting a shortcut to Then from the command prompt type sfc /scannow. When I launch start-up repair it runs, and says "Startup Repair cannot fix this computer automatically." I tried to do a System Restore, but it says I have no restore points. You showed em all who is boss!
